A new club is born!
The Rotary Club of Bangalore chartered the new “Rotary Club of Bangalore Oasis” at Rajanukunte on 30th of August. This is the 24th club that the Rotary Club of Bangalore has chartered in its 85 years of existence, which is indeed a milestone.
The ceremonial programme started with a silent invocation and Lighting of the Lamp by DG Rtn Sameer Hariani, RCB President, Rtn Dr. Elizabeth Cherian Paramesh, Governor’s Special Representative Rtn Ram Kumarr Seshu ,Zone Governor Shashi Diwakar, Assistant Governor Shivanand Bellare , Jt Secretary of RCB Rosa Paramel , the incoming President and Secretary of the New Club.
President Elizabeth Cherian Paramesh welcomed the dignitaries and the new members of the Rotary Bangalore Oasis.In her address she spoke of how Rotary Club of Bangalore was chartered in the year 1934, and it has grown from strength to strength and has chartered 24 Clubs till now. She spoke of the flagship projects of RCB:TTK Blood Bank, Rotary Muthappa Attavar Hospital, Rotary Bangalore ICICI Prudential Dialysis Centre ,Rotary Bangalore Vidyalaya, Old Age Home and other projects
Governor’s Special Representative PP Rtn Ram Kumarr Seshu has been mentoring the Rotary Club of Bangalore Oasis.He emphasised that the world needs Rotary and Rotary needs Rotary Bangalore Oasis.He explained that his first visit to The Rotary Club of Bangalore Oasis was the most wonderful experience and the energy and enthusiasm of the charter members were palpable. Further their plans for the new club was to connect to the world, which would bear fruit for the society and communities.
The District Governor Rtn Sameer Hariani handed over the Certificate of Organization(charter) that was received from Rotary International to the charter members of Rotary Club of Bangalore Oasis, He along with the office bearers of the District inducted 23 charter member of the newly minted club.
The President Rtn Hemant Sharma, the Secretary Rtn Anand Kumar and the Board for the year 2019-20 were installed by the District Governor.
The President of Rotary Bangalore Oasis outlined his plans for the year and spoke of how he studied the area Rajanukunte and had identified projects in line with the Rotary area of focus and guidelines. He requested the new members to bring in more members and enhance membership. The first edition of e-zine RBO Digest was brought out by the dignitaries.
The Rotary Club of Bangalore Oasis has sponsored RotaryCommunity Corps Of Rajanukunte which was chartered on 15 August 2019.The RCC consists of a team of non Rotarians who are committed to the community’s long-term development and to solve problems in the area they live and work in. The installation was attended by Rotarians Nilesh Kapse, Dileep Kumar Pillai, R. C. Dutt,and Ashok Kalyanshetty. The new club has started it’s work with zeal.
