Description
“Recondite” is a contemplative series of abstract paintings that delves into the layered complexity of everyday thoughts. Rooted in the subtle rhythms of daily life, these works reflect an inner dialogue — quiet, elusive, yet ever-present. Rather than narrate, the paintings evoke.
The focus of this series lies in the interplay of colour, composition, and technique. Using a method of transparent washes and layered pigment, I build depth and resonance, allowing the surface to breathe and shift. The translucency invites viewers to linger — to look beyond the immediate and discover what lies beneath.
Through this process, the paintings do not aim to explain but to hold space for reflection, mystery, and presence. They are not answers, but mirrors — meditative forms that respond to the subtle pulse of everyday consciousness.
