The stamp of approval came with my first solo exhibition, inaugurated by Raja Ramanna at the West Minster Gallery at Windsor Manor, Bangalore. Then came the invitations to exhibit my paintings in Kampala and Nairobi and I felt that my art was answering a call from a corresponding world in Nature. A few days before I left for Campala, I received the Honourable Mention Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. A few months later, I received the All India A.I.F.A.C.S award. My exhibitions in Africa, New York, Hamburg and Indian cities have all helped me to experience an expansive art sensibility and the truth behind the universality of Art. This has been an art language I owe totally to the unfailing support from my husband who has been an ardent supporter of Art. Likewise, I have enjoyed the spirited and enthusiastic support of our children and grandchildren.
