The sight of flowers instantly changes our mood in a joyful state. In my paintings I try to capture the short lived floral beauty in a realistic way with the vibrant watercolor medium to create an atmosphere to appreciate the gifts nature has given us.
Draped in Red and golden attire, friends sharing their secrets. Mandala motifs in background symbolise their whispers, endless talks and tales, the various aspects of their personalities. Decked up in the minimalist jewellery they step into the dreamy world of adulthood.
Her face is lit with the warmth of the “diya”, her thoughts are peaceful, her prayers transmitted to the universe and she emerges all aglow from within. For me, the hours spent on the kancheevaram saree and her expression were intensely meditative and satisfying.
