The painting captures Mahakumbh as an ocean of faith—millions converging at the sacred confluence. Ash-smeared ascetics, saffron-clad pilgrims, and fearless Naga sadhus immerse in holy waters. Lamps glow, conch shells resound, and mantras rise into the dawn sky—where earth, water, and spirit unite in timeless divine communion.
I observed during my visits to riverbanks and seashores, where fisherwomen work with equal effort as fishermen, yet live joyfully like queens — hence the crown. The painting portrays the strength and resilience of a woman whose life is deeply interwoven with fishing.
When I visit villages along riverbanks or sea shores, I observe the concentration of a fisherman in his daily routine with fishing, fish, and boat. They work hard, yet find joy in it. An essence I wanted to capture with earth colors on paper.
This diptych portrays the Shivalingam tree with its divine brightly coloured flowers. These flowers with its unique design have always fascinated me and I wanted to capture the beauty of this unusual tree in all its splendour. The canvas is very textured and is full of light , colours and joy.
Three points, one truth— mind, heart, and infinite sky. Each angle holds a mirror, reflecting the others without end. At the summit, silence reigns. At the base, creation blooms. Between them flows the current of all that was, is, and will be— the universal, undivided gaze.
