This painting beautifully captures the essence of a summer evening. The vibrant sky, transitioning from warm coral to bright yellow, hints at a serene sunset. Below, the deep blue sea is rendered with dynamic brushstrokes, suggesting rolling waves under the golden light, evoking a feeling of tranquility and warmth.
Her face is lit with the warmth of the “diya”, her thoughts are peaceful, her prayers transmitted to the universe and she emerges all aglow from within. For me, the hours spent on the kancheevaram saree and her expression were intensely meditative and satisfying.
Draped in Red and golden attire, friends sharing their secrets. Mandala motifs in background symbolise their whispers, endless talks and tales, the various aspects of their personalities. Decked up in the minimalist jewellery they step into the dreamy world of adulthood.
The bond between a father and daughter is often understated, yet it is a vital component for the daughter’s well-being. A father guides his daughter by holding her hand, helping her understand and realize her dreams as she navigates through life.
The sight of flowers instantly changes our mood in a joyful state. In my paintings I try to capture the short lived floral beauty in a realistic way with the vibrant watercolor medium to create an atmosphere to appreciate the gifts nature has given us.
