Solomon Paramel, a businessman with interests in bespoke turnkey interior projects, furniture, designer doors and real estate holdings has been very passionate about serving the society from a very young age after having served various roles in the Leo club of Bangalore – Cantonment and later on in the board of the Lions Club of Bangalore – Banaswadi for 13 years in different capacities before becoming President in 2005.

He joined the Rotary Club of Bangalore in 2017 and since then has played a key role in the Youth Service and Fellowship committees.

A keen debater, poet, tness enthusiast and theatre buff he has been part of the Bangalore Little Theatre since many decades and performed in numerous commercial theatre productions in Bangalore and Mumbai.

Solomon has played a vital role in Rotary Theatre Club right from its very inception and was instrumental in coordinating many theatre related events for RCB apart from acting in and directing plays.

Solomon spent his early formative years in the vibrant city of Mumbai and later moved to Bangalore where he completed his higher education. In his early career ,Solomon took up strategic business development roles in various reputed companies after which he set up his own business which now has a diversified portfolio.

At RCB, Solomon has held important portfolios in the Youth Services and Fellowship avenues.

In spite of the restrictions brought about by the pandemic, Solomon’s initiatives made sure that the Fellowship and the Youth Services teams took the programme online and the momentum of the services were not dampened.

His chairmanship in the Youth Services saw the flagship programmes like Yuva Yamini, Rotoquiz ,etc. garnering more than six times the regular participation. This success has paved the way for a hybrid online plus live model for the Youth Service initiatives.

As a member of the board – Youth Service, Solomon brings in rich and honed experience of being a team player inspiring leader and matured decision maker with a high level of integrity and unflinching commitment to the goals and passion for service is sure to reinforce the values and the achievements that RCB stands for.

Due to his amicable disposition and vast experience he enjoys the goodwill of a large circle of friends and well wishers.

Solomon is married to Rosa, an advocate and an active Rotarian from the last 15 years. They have a daughter, Tamara who is an architect by profession and a son Tarshish who is currently pursuing his degree in law.
