Inspired by the work of the great artist Ram Kinkar Baij I painted this portrait taking over 90 hours. It was painted in 4 to 5 layers from dark to light colours without any lines, adopting the sfumato technique.

This is a portrait of my 4 years old nephew Rekil when growing up in Port Blair, in the Andaman Islands. He was a mischievous child, the mischief is evident in his eyes and his torn shirt. This oil painting took 95 hours to complete.
