I am Varunachar G, a Bengaluru based visual arts student completed my bachelor’s degree in Sculpture from College of fine arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath and currently pursuing Masters in Bengaluru School of Visual Arts. My engagements in art practice is to enjoy the authenticity, history , nostalgia and mystery which sparks curiosity. During my 2 years of MVA in Sculpture I wrote series of stories where the core element of these writings are made as Sculptures and expect imagination and image to intervene with each other.
To make it more convenient to experience the stories, the narrations are made through podcast where people can listen to the stories wherever and whenever they want. In my practice, I create sculptures that are not merely objects to be seen, but starting points for shared imagination. I weave these works into stories where the sculpture becomes the central plot, inviting the audience to step inside the narrative. Through this interplay of form and fiction, I aim to intervene in the traditional act of viewing art — transforming it into an active process where each viewer completes the work with their own vision, memories, and dreams.
