My father was a sign board artist, so I used to write boards with him in childhood. He was my first teacher. By seeing my interest in arts he joined me at an art school. From there my journey started.
As every single artist wishes for his own style, I too wanted to have my unique art style..
My ancestors were the devotees of Savadatti Yellamma Devi. As we too used to worship Savadatthi Yellamma , I would go with my mother to that temple very often.. I used to see them all applying big Haldi(turmeric)and Kumkum on forehead. Yellamma Devi’s and her devotees Haldi, kumkuma attracted me as it’s the symbol of power.
I believe Kumkum on forehead enhances the beauty of women. It also enhances the love and respect towards women. We believe woman is nature, woman is power. She is the creation, she is the source of every single thing on the Earth. So in my art works, I use lines, flowers, turtles, long braids, attractive colors, waves, These give life to my arts. In my art works, I give great importance to lines. Again, the works also include plants and leaves. These create life and movement in my artwork. Since I have been influenced by the color yellow since childhood, I use yellow as my main color. I use other colors to balance it. All these elements are the basic basis of my artwork creation.
