I observed during my visits to riverbanks and seashores, where fisherwomen work with equal effort as fishermen, yet live joyfully like queens — hence the crown. The painting portrays the strength and resilience of a woman whose life is deeply interwoven with fishing.

“Life of Fisherman” is about a fisherman and his wife resting together after a long day’s toil, sharing a quiet smoke under the dark night.
