Tāmra Taru features, Bengaluru’s iconic pink blossoms, botanical ‘Tabebuia rosea’, in vibrant hues imaged as Mandalas. The bronze and copper tree trunk and branches rendered for a postmodern backdrop approach to painting; beautifully complement the pink Mandalas – intend creating a breathtaking visual spectacle to the viewer.
The sight of flowers instantly changes our mood in a joyful state. In my paintings I try to capture the short lived floral beauty in a realistic way with the vibrant watercolor medium to create an atmosphere to appreciate the gifts nature has given us.
A butterfly symbolizes growth, hope, renewal and the Nepali mother wants just that for her daughter. She aspires for a world with a bright future for her little girl, as the latter gazes at the butterfly fluttering in her small palm.
