Rtn. Sohil D Shah

Born and raised in Bangalore, Rtn. Sohil Shah developed a love for his city at an early age.

He graduated in commerce, laying the foundation for his future career.

With over 40 years of experience, Sohil is a seasoned advertising and marketing professional.

He founded S D Enterprises in 1983, a fully accredited advertising agency that has carved a niche for itself in the corporate and retail scene at both the national and state levels. As CEO, he strategically guides the direction and operations of the agency, supported by a talented team specialising in creative advertising, media planning across all verticals and marketing.

Beyond his professional success, Sohil is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He has served as the treasurer of the Gujarati Yuvak Mandal for nearly a decade and actively supports various initiatives.

His passion for helping others extends to various causes, particularly those focused on helping the underprivileged sections of society.

Sohil’s commitment to service also extends to his involvement with the Rotary Club of Bangalore. A member since 2001, he has served in a variety of roles, including chair and co-chair of several committees. He served on the Board as joint secretary in 2013-14 and as sergeant at arms in 2015-16. Over the years he has contributed his expertise to the compilation and publication of The Roster and The Rotator for over 8 years. He served as The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Champion in 2022-23. He is also currently a trustee of RCBCT.

Sohil is happily married to Roopa, a supportive homemaker who has always been by his side. They have two children. Their daughter, Dhruvi, is an accomplished product designer who has worked with Google in Singapore. Their son, Samkit, is currently pursuing a Masters in Data Science in Melbourne after gaining valuable experience in digital marketing with a global agency.

When not busy, Sohil enjoys spending time with his family, indulging in his passion for playing cricket and snooker. He loves photography and savouring a cup of hot filter coffee.
