Global Grant for Eye Care

On 5th August 2024, Rtn Aria Ohri introduced details of the grant we received last week of USD 42,600 received by us for a Global Grant Project. Owing to the high prevalence of Diabetic Retinopathy and
Glaucoma in Karnataka, many of them go undetected and treated. There is a lack of awareness, and no screening on a large scale or any “Opportunistic screening” even for Glaucoma happening.

This is a joint project of RCB and Rotary Clubs of Guernesiais Channel Islands (RI District 1110) and Morrisville -Yardley Area, USA (RI District 7430).

She specially recognised Dr Amrutesh from I Drishti and Dr Thilak Kumar from Remidio and called them on stage to be felicitated and a cheque given to them for an auspicious start to the program.
