SPOUSES NIGHT- ACKNOWLEDGING THE SUPPORT!

On the Monday evening of June 25th, the Rotary House of Friendship shimmered with an aura of warmth and elegance. It was a night dedicated to celebrating the power of love, care, and companionship, the enduring partnership of spouses, fondly known in Rotary circles as the Anns and Andys.
They are more than companions; they are the invisible architects of inspiration, the steady pillars behind every Rotarian’s journey in service and in life.
The evening unfolded like a symphony, blending music, fashion, and heartfelt emotion. Rtn Mustali honoured the spouses for the way they give direction, encouragement, and strength to their partners and to the way they inspire Rotarians to walk the extra mile to serve society. They are the unsung heroes who ensure that Rotary’s mission is not just about projects and programs but about people and relationships.
Their presence is not ornamental but foundational, shaping the spirit of Rotary with their charm, resilience, and unwavering support. Ann Tasneem responded to the toast in her own inimitable, witty style!
The celebration began on a patriotic note. The Nava Loka ensemble, led by the brilliant Guru Vasudevan, opened with Onde Mantram, a stirring song dedicated to the nation. The resonance of the music set the tone for the night, an acknowledgment of unity, patience, and partnership. What followed was a medley of multilingual melodies, weaving together threads of Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and more, each note echoing the diversity and harmony that spouses bring into Rotary life.
But music was only half the story. The other half was passion and fashion. As the ensemble played, spouses took to the ramp in a graceful walk that was far more than a catwalk,it was a statement. Each step was a metaphor for sharing, caring, and the quiet strength of companionship. Their walk was synchronised with timeless Hindi classics, songs that once serenaded youthful hearts and now rekindled memories of blossoming love. The strains of Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko and Ye Raaten Ye Mausam floated through the hall, evoking nostalgia and reminding the audience of the magic of early romance.
The spouses walked with elan and dignity, their presence commanding admiration.
The Nava Loka ensemble’s brilliance amplified the moment. The spouses, walking in rhythm, embodied the very essence of Rotary’s spirit—service with love, action with compassion, and companionship with grace.
It was a night to celebrate, to remember, and to cherish, a night that reminded everyone that behind every Rotarian’s journey stands a spouse whose love and care make the journey meaningful.
