The 41st edition of ShieldHer

United Against Cervical Cancer unfolded on July 8, 2025, at Christ University (Deemed to be University), Bangalore with an impactful awareness session led by Dr. Vidyamani, Senior Consultant at Sagar Chandramma Hospital, Bengaluru.

In a session that combined science with social relevance, Dr. Vidyamani shed light on cervical cancer—discussing its root causes, common risk factors, and the critical importance of early screening. She also emphasized the role of HPV vaccination as a key preventive measure.

A vibrant audience of 290 MBA students from the School of Business and Management, along with 10 faculty/staff members, actively participated. The conversations moved beyond theory, as students candidly shared their own vaccination experiences and posed insightful questions about treatment options and life after diagnosis.

The success of the session was made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts and coordination of senior faculty members Dr. Rajashree Kamath, Dr. Hemalata R, Dr. Sreelakshmi P, and Medical Officer Dr. Seela Mathew. Their leadership continues to foster a campus culture that prioritizes health education and women’s well-being.
