Sunil Gavaskar, the legendary cricketer, graced the Rotary Club of Bangalore’s fundraiser with Heart to Heart Foundation, amplifying the spirit of philanthropy for pediatric heart surgeries. With a commitment to making a difference in children’s lives, the event was a monumental success!

Rotarians Ram Seshu, Ranga Rao, and Pradeep Rao orchestrated the evening, setting the stage for impactful proceedings.

Arvind Thiagarajan shared H2H Foundation’s remarkable work: 28,000 saved lives, 99% success rate in free heart surgeries, and the belief in “Only Dill, no Bill.”

Gavaskar’s anecdotes from his illustrious career intertwined with heartfelt messages, drawing parallels between second chances on the field and the life-changing surgeries, echoing hope and a new lease on life.

Beyond cricket, the event symbolized generosity, raising a staggering 50 lakhs in donations, far surpassing expectations. Major donors received a “bat for life,” and all donors took home signed memorabilia.

Gavaskar expressed that this innings, his “3rd innings” after playing and commentating, is the most fulfilling—perhaps even more than scoring a double century for India!
