Dark to Light

On 7th July 2025, the Rotary Club of Bangalore, in collaboration with Balance Wellness and Spa and NABK (National Association for the Blind, Karnataka), launched the next phase of its “Dark to Light” initiative — a vocational training program in Reflexology for visually impaired individuals.
Held at Balance Wellness and Spa, the event featured a welcome address by Rtn. Minku Buttar. Rtn. Vish Iyer spoke on Rotary’s spirit of service, while Rtn. Rajesh (CEO, NABK) emphasised the project’s role in creating meaningful opportunities.
Dr. Ravneet Grewal, co-founder of Balance, led an insightful session on the holistic approach to reflexology and energy flow. Dr. Grewal has taken on the responsibility of training the participants, offering them a path to dignity, independence, and meaningful work. His support has been invaluable to this project.
Seven visually impaired candidates, identified by NABK, were introduced as part of the training cohort. The event concluded
with the official kick-off of the month-long program. This initiative exemplifies Rotary’s commitment to creating inclusive employment pathways.
