UGADI CELEBRATION AT RHF

On 27th March, Rotary House of Friendship was decorated to welcome Rotarians and guests who were dressed traditionally. All were welcomed with Bevu Bella, colourful bangles and bindies for the ladies. Flowers adorned the stage and hall.
President Sanjay and Secretary Dinesh on the dias were looking dapper in their dhoti and shirt. At the meeting RC Chitradurga members were present and many wonderful service projects of RCB were announced.
Rtn. Rajashekar Patil and Ann. Shalini Prabhu in chaste Kannada explained this unique festival of Ugadi. Rtn. T V Raghunath reminiscence of his young days when his large family celebrated Ugadi together and Rtr. Krishna Arjun’s presentation & folk song kept us totally enthralled.
Dinner was delicious with Ugadi delicasies being served on plantain leaf with Obbattu, Chitranna, Beans Palya, Shavige Payasa, Kosambari, Belada Hannina Paanaka and much more… It was truly a very special evening.
