Election Awareness – Rotaract Event
ELECTION AWARENESS WALKATHON.
The Rotaract Club of Bangalore took part in the Election Awareness Walkathon on April 14th. The goal was to spread awareness about the upcoming Elections and to raise certain common topics which directly affect the voters of Bangalore.
The Walkathon was Flagged Off by DG Rtn. Suresh Hari S and Mr.G.M. Ravindra, KCS Joint Commissioner, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. Close to 19 Rotaract Clubs and around 300 Rotaractors took part in the Walkathon.
We started off from the Mahatma Gandhi Statue at Cubbon Park Circle, walked down Kasturba Road, Vittal Mallya Road, around Corporation Circle, entered Cubbon Park, then paused in front of Vidhana Soudha and the High Court. After we arrived at the finish point in Minsk Square all the participants enjoyed refreshments and collected their participation certificates. Overall, it was a very satisfying way to spend a Sunday morning.
